Karla Cornwall is taking part in BBC Documentary called Soleseekers, where she explains her involvement in fusing her art into creative original customization on sneakers. This documentary will be launched in Cinemas in the early part of 2018.
The show was opened by his excellency the Trinidad High Commissioner Orville London. And as a part of a thank you gift Karla Cornwall created a beautiful thread portrait of the Honorable Keith Christopher Rowley. This was unveiled by the High Commissioner at the private view.
Following on from the successful joint exhibition called “Emotions in Colour.” Karla Cornwall and Ainsley Yearwood are holding their show at the prestigious Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in Belgrave Square London. The show will be on for 5 days excluding the weekend and will be commencing the 24th November 2017 and ends on the 30th November 2017. Opening times 1-4pm

Tino Kamal recently did an edgy, provocative shoot with DARREN BLACK a London-based fashion & advertising photographer who’s work hits 4 key notes, sex, subversion, vulgar, cool. Tino is wearing a Chanel Jacket which has been customized by Karla Cornwall using her thread technique.
Karla Cornwall is having her first joint exhibition with another talented artist by the name of Ainsley Yearwood called “Emotions in colour.” All works displayed are influenced on their emotions, giving the audience a complementary array of colours and mix media. The show is on for a further 2 weeks from 22nd June 2017- July 5th 2017 at Campbell’s of London Framers & Gallery South Kensington. Opening times mon -fri 10am – 6pm and sat-sun 10am – 4pm.

An exciting collaboration between Footasylum and Vans caused a storm around town with #MyCityMyVans. Having drafted in the skills of two creative souls in the art world one being Karla Cornwall, were given two pairs of Vans Old Skools to have a bespoke customized makeover with each artist using London Town as the basis of their inspiration.
The competition was conducted on their social media and given away at their Oxford circus store.
Karla Cornwall collaborated with rising star Tino Kamal an English rapper, model and fashionista who came to prominence after his work was featured in MTV’s The Wrap Up. Using her threading techniques and fashion background, they collaborated on some custom pieces for the artist, which caused a frenzy at London Fashion week. This was one of many pieces they’ve worked together on.
Karla Cornwall takes part in the world’s largest all female street art and graffiti event Femme Fierce where she produced a cool art installation using a thread art customized Adidas trainer which was connected to a threaded graffiti wall which was well received by the public.
Karla Cornwall collaborated with Independent Designer Streetwear brand, Born Star Clothing. Adding her artistic feel to the brands sweatshirts by recreating their logo using her thread suturing technique.

Karla Cornwall took British GQ Magazine 25th Anniversary front cover, of pop star Rhianna dressed as medusa and art directed by talented artist Damien Hirst and created an intricate thread art version using her thread blending technique. This piece was displayed on their social media platform.
