woven abstract expressionistic sculptured avatars

Karla Cornwall is on the cutting edge of Fashion fused with Art. It is art that you may have never seen before, her woven abstract expressionistic sculptured avatars have inspired and wowed people from around the world. In the fashion world, mannequins have always been the base to display clothes to incise the public to buy. Karla has taken that concept and flipped it over on its head. She plays around with the idea of how attached we are to the garments that we wear, to the point that they become our second skin. What if they really did but covered the whole of our body, the colours, textures absorb into our soul. Transforming into beautiful intricate Avatars of our true selves.

Which brings us to having Karla create a beautiful intricate sculptured Avatar for your brand. She will take the fabric prints you use in your brand, accessories etc, choose a mannequin style of your choice and she’ll do her abstract threading technique and create an amazing Avatar that represents your brand. This beautiful piece can be displayed in shop front windows, in foyers at events, brand launches. It can also be used as an interactive piece for your consumers.

Karla is 100% sure that her sculptured Avatars will draw in crowd. It’s been tried and tested over the years and every single person says that they have never seen this style of art before.

Karla was commissioned by the High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr Vishnu Dhanpaul to create a sculptured Avatar for their 60th Independence Anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago, after he attended her solo exhibition called “Flow the Art of Letting Go.” back in July 2022. He wanted something that embodied the country. Karla over exceeded his expectation and created a stunning, draw dropping Avatar named “Madam Trinity, The Hummingbird.” She incorporated the Trinidad and Tobago flag colour and their native bird in an abstract way.
